Vailulu'u seamount
American Samoa has its own underwater volcano: Vailulu'u located off the eastern coast of Ta'u, Manu'a. Vailulu'u is considered to be the newest island of the Samoan Archipelago and the Manu'a island chain. Located between Motu O Manu (Rose Atoll) and Ta'u Island scientists predict that the underwater volcano is growing at a phenomenal rate and is predicted to rise above sea level soon. Oakie Salave’a with Tua Tagovailoa
Oakie Salave’a at Polynesian Bowl 2022. He played for Team Makai that won the Game 17-3 this past Saturday in Honolulu. He also received advice for his next step onto college football from the Great Tua Tagovailoa, quarterback of the Miami Dolphins. Oakie enrolls at Colorado tomorrow. 35th Annaul Secondary Speech Festival winners with trophies
Overall winner at 35th annual Secondary Speech Festival competition held this past Friday at the Gov. H. Rex Lee Auditorium is Tafuna High School. All public high schools on Tutuila and Manu’a plus private schools Iakina Adventist Academy and Kananafou took part in the much-anticipated event.
