Vaccinations at Lee Auditorium this week — Another drive-thru in April

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The Department of Health’s medical staff is at the Gov. H. Rex Lee Auditorium, where DoH has started another round of COVID-19 vaccinations for three-days this week — Monday, Mar. 15, today, Wednesday, Mar. 17th and Friday, Mar. 19th from 8a.m. to 3p.m.

In a health advisory issued Monday, Dept. of Health said both first and second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine are available. And the public is asked to bring a photo ID and hospital card. If no hospital card, bring two photo IDs.

“A kind reminder to bring your vaccine card if you are coming back for a second dose,” said DoH noting that next week Wednesday, March 24, the Island Wide Math Competition is scheduled at the Lee Auditorium and no vaccines will be available at that location during that time. Anyone due for second doses on that day please go to the Tafuna clinic.

DoH also says that the Tafuna Family Health Center will continue to offer the vaccines on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8a.m to 3p.m. Both first and second doses for Pfizer and Moderna are available. All regular clinics are closed except for Tafuna Well Baby Clinic on these days.

ANOTHER DRIVE-THRU

The first DoH COVID- 19 Vaccine Drive-Thru Clinic was held this past Saturday, Mar. 13th at the parking lot of the Pago Pago International Airport. The next Drive-Thru Clinic is scheduled for Saturday April 10.

For individuals who did not come to the drive-thru on Mar. 13th, and would like to show up on April 10, please call Command Post Hotline 219 or 633-5871 and register.

Eligible age groups are 18 years of age and older. Moderna first and second doses will be available. A consent form can be emailed to you to fill out or you can pick one up at the Tafuna Health Center Pharmacy. You will be asked to bring your consent form with you on the day of the Drive -Thru.

For individuals with disabilities who need a ride and are eligible for Dial-A-Ride program, please let Command Post know when you call to register. For people with special health care needs, homebound and need a ride, please coordinate with 633-4008. They will assist with transportation.
