Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA —  Pacific Island Foundation official Ethan Lake (left) accepting a $20,600 contribution from Bluesky Pacific Group chief executive officer Toleafoa Tiafau Douglas Creevey during Tuesday’s news conference announcing the Bluesky/Pacific Island Foundation partnership.

Following in line with Bluesky’s commitment of giving back to the community, the company said it has now taken on a new partnership as the Preferred Telecommunication Service Provider of the Pacific Island Foundation, a non profit organization that provides opportunities to the territory’s youth through numerous activities including free computer classes for children of all ages.

“Our partnership will enable better access to e-learning platforms and enhanced technology equipment and we look forward to promoting technology and its capabilities to the youth of American Samoa,” Toleafoa said.

Pacific Island Foundation is also involved with the upcoming Fa’a Samoa Initiative’s Music Talent Show hosted by Troy and Theodora Polamalu, where one local youth will win an all expense paid trip to New York to record with professional recording artist, Tony Black, according to a Bluesky news release.
