ASG’s annual Christmas program kicks off Sunday

The three nights of Christmas songs and skits, performed by youth groups from villages and churches as well as local schools, kicks off at 6:30p.m Sunday at the Fagatogo Pavilion, and runs through Tuesday night.

The annual holiday music festival, a collaboration between the American Samoa Council for Arts and Humanities (or Arts Council) and the Department of Youth and Women’s Affairs, includes Gov. Lolo Matalasi Moliga delivering his Christmas message, while the invocation is to be delivered by Elder Rev. Kereti Faiai of CCCAS Afono.

There are 11 groups scheduled to perform Sunday night and the public is invited to witness the annual festival.

Lt. Gov. Lemanu Peleti Mauga is scheduled to deliver closing remarks for the government on Tuesday night.
