Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — In a memorandum dated yesterday, Gov. Lemanu Peleti Palepoi Sialega Mauga announced that Health director Motusa Tuileama Nua will be off island from Apr. 15th to May 31st.

And in his absence, the governor appointed DOH deputy director Farrah Utu as acting director until Motusa returns to resume his post.

Motusa was one of the passengers on the out-bound flight late Thursday afternoon — Pago Pago to Honolulu — of the repatriation flight from Hawaii that brought in just over 200 local residents stranded in the US since borders were closed in March last year.
