The Samoan Protestant Service at Fort Carson, Colorado, under the leadership of lay preacher Mario Lefiti and his wife Taotafa Panama Lefiti, held its first official service July 21, 2019 at Provider Chapel.

Over 40 were in attendance, including active duty soldiers, reservists, retirees and their families, and one who was going through Advanced Training Course. Others who were there were guests from the Fort Carson Garrison Chaplain’s Office.

“Although this service is affiliated with the Congregational Christian Church in American Samoa, we welcome Christians of all faiths. The focus of this ministry is to provide a service for military families at a chapel conveniently located on-post that extends out to neighboring military bases. We also welcome anyone who is looking for a place to worship.”

The church’s establishment is credited to the combined efforts of Mr. & Mrs. Lefiti; LTC Tuliloa Tuliloa Jr and his wife, Fuatai Tuato'o Tuliloa; and LTC Pinkie Fisher, Garrison Chaplain, to whom the church extends its gratitude and appreciation.
