The American Samoa High School Athletic Association (ASHSAA) girls softball season was scheduled to begin last Saturday, but it has been postponed for two weeks and is now scheduled to start on Saturday, February 1.

Despite the two week postponement, the Tafuna Warriors and Fa’asao Marist Cougars girls softball teams met last Saturday morning for a friendly game at the Tony Solaita Baseball Field.

“The girls enjoyed the fellowship and the game, but are eager to get the league started and played. I know that every coach, supporter and fan hopes the league will start soon for the sake of the girls,” said head coach of the Fa’asao Marist Cougars Victor Langkilde.
