HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - With every dollar that his Aquaman movie continues to rake in at the box office, Hawaii-born actor Jason Momoa further cements his standing as one of America’s most profitable action stars.

Meanwhile, no actor in the world made more money starring in movies last year than Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, the former wrestler who earned more than $120 million in Hollywood salaries, according to Forbes.

Now, according to The Rock, it might not be long before the two stars who once called Hawaii home share the silver screen in the same action-packed movie.

On a photo posted to The Rock’s Instagram account this weekend promoting his upcoming ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ movie — a spin-off from the popular ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise — a fan asks Johnson about the prospect of Momoa making an appearance.

“Tried hard to get him in this movie to play my brother, but his schedule was too packed,” Johnson responded. “Next Hobbs movie for sure.”

Instead, it would seem, the role of Johnson’s on-screen brother in the movie went to WWE sensation Roman Reigns, who is also of Samoan descent.
