The American Samoa Basketball Association (ASBA) continues with its league play out at the Tafuna High School gymnasium. The latest action came this past Wednesday evening with Utulei Powa and Primetime that saw both defenses stepping up in the first quarter. Utulei  was able to dominate in the second quarter by capitalizing on Primetime’s turnovers and taking the lead up to 5 (10-14).

By half-time, a barrage of three pointers from Folasa Galea’i kept Primetime in a comfortable lead. However, Gase and Elu of Utulei kept the game close by cutting the lead down to 4. Charlie Ho-Ching came back with a corner 3-pointer and pulled the lead back up to 7, and Primetime never looked back, as they took the game over Utulei by a score of 53-42.

Games for this Saturday will start at 2:00 p.m. and all of the Women’s games will be postponed until another day due to the SAT testing at Tafuna High School, according to the ASBA.
