Groundsbreakings at Afonotele and Le’atele Elementry Schools

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — ASG officials, including Gov. Lemanu P. S. Mauga were present at the groundbreaking ceremonies at Afonotele and Le’atele Elementary Schools held last week Wednesday.
The Afonotele groundbreaking was for a new cafeteria and classroom building awarded to Vailu’u & Sons over 6 other contractors. The project, valued at $1,277,00.00, is a two-story building where the first floor is planned for a cafeteria and school library; the second floor will be four classrooms.
At Le’atele the groundbreaking for a new multipurpose facility was awarded to Quality Painting for $1.244 million. The Multipurpose facility, which attracted bids from 10 contractors, will be a 140ft by 70ft partially open structure with a concrete stage.
