Red Cross celebrates 100 years, seeks photos from volunteers
Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — In leading up to the celebration of the American Red Cross in American Samoa 100 years of service next year, they are seeking assistance from members of the public to commemorate this landmark event.
“We are in need of photos, especially from past years. If you were/are a volunteer, family member of a past/present volunteer, client or partner of the Red Cross, have a history with the Red Cross and have pictures, please share them with our office” on emails below; Lipea.utasui@redcross.org or Leilani.tuamoheloat2@redcross.org.
In a statement issued by the local Red Cross says that the photos can be dropped them off at their office located at 2635 Airport Road in Pago Pago.
“We will make a digital copy and return original to you unless you want to donate the original. “Mail photos to American Red Cross of American Samoa, 2635 Airport Road, Pago Pago, AS 96799 with note on whether you want it returned.
“We also welcome stories that you may have of the Red Cross.
“These photos and stories will greatly help us to visually recreate our history as we plan our Centennial celebration. “As so much of our strength is tied to the people we serve and who have made up our organization, we look forward to celebrating all the people and ways we have impacted the American Samoa community.”
