Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Lions Club of Pago Pago president, Lisa Tuato’o (right) and a Lions Club member (left)  during the Senior Citizens Day at Suigaula o le Atuvasa at Utulei after announcing the organization’s recognition for Service to the Community award went to High Talking Chief Fofo I.F. Sunia.

The award, according to wording printed on the plaque, is: “In recognition of your invaluable contribution in preserving the customs and history of American Samoa through your well researched and exceptional publications in safeguarding our culture for younger and future generations.”

Fofo was unable to attend the ceremony, as he was under the weather. Lions Club provided the award.
