The dedication ceremony was held yesterday across the street from Lions Park. The governor, in his remarks, spoke of the many contributions that Lealaifuaneva made over the years to American Samoa, including being a successful businessman for many years, a traditional leader who supported youth in various activities, and supported community projects.

Lealaifuaneva also served in the Senate, was renowned for his winning record as fautasi captain of the Pago Pago Aeto, and his service to the Catholic Church.

The street dedication ceremony coincided with the ground breaking ceremony of the future home of Samoa Motors, one of the many companies owned by ‘Leala’.

Samoa News joins the community in wishing Lealaifuaneva’s family well in their future endeavors and God’s blessings to the memory of their father.
