Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — In an advisory this week, the Dept. of Health announced that ASG and the COVID-19 Task Force have extended the $100 cash incentive for children 5-11 years old until Feb. 28.

DoH asked that all parents and guardians of children in this age group who received their first or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Jan. 18 through Jan. 21 to take the child’s COVID-19 vaccine card to the Treasury Department’s Disbursing Office at the A.P. Lutali Executive Office Building in Utulei to pick up the cash incentive.

DoH also announced the schedule and sites for COVID-19 vaccination, which is ongoing. For the latest update on sites, contact 219 or check with DoH Facebook page.

Also in the advisory, DoH urged pet owners, specifically dogs — roaming around the quarantine site at Fatuoaiga, to control the dogs by keeping them on a leash or bound within the home-property to avoid imposing danger and threat to Fatuoaiga’s elderly nursing home, children day-care and especially passengers who will go into quarantine at Fatuoaiga facility upon arrival today,  Jan. 27, on the flight from Honolulu.

The DoH “Veterinary Clinic team and our partners will remove any strays that are spotted on the Fatuoaiga compound by Jan. 28. To release the dogs back to their owners, there will be a $60 fee,” the advisory said.  Call the Veterinary Clinic at 699-9445 for more information.

The Hawaiian Airlines flight from Honolulu is scheduled to arrive in Pago Pago around 6:44p.m. today, Jan. 27, and depart at 9:35p.m with the estimated time of arrival in Honolulu at 4a.m. tomorrow, Friday.

In addition to Fatuoaiga, travelers on the incoming flight will be quarantined at Tradewinds Hotel and DoH Alternate Care Facility #1 building in Tafuna.
