Sixth Annual Day of Celebration to be held at Lake Robinson

Organizers of the Sixth Annual Day of Celebration at Lake Robinson are hoping that the event raises the visibility of the Lake Robinson community as an ideal residential community in or near the City of Greer.
‘We are building on the theme that living near the lake is an opportunity to be stewards to one of the region’s most valuable recreational, environmental and economic resources.’ Tom Faulkner, President, Friends of Lake Robinson
any activities are planned for the Friends of Lake Robinson Sixth Annual Day of Celebration to be held Oct. 13 from 1-6 p.m. Sunrift Adventures will provide kayaks and canoes for those interested in trying one out. The City of Greer Parks and Recreation Department will provide children’s activities including a casting contest. Inflatables will be provided by the Friends of Lake Robinson.

Lillian Hanley of the City of Greer Stormwater Division has organized a Stewardship Fair  highlighting numerous organizations that will share ideas about protecting the lake and environs, enjoying the plant and animal life, and living in harmony with nature.
This event is a great place to pick up community service ideas for high school students as well as find ideas for science projects and Scout projects.
The Lake Cunningham Fire Department will provide a Fire Safety Trailer, fire prevention education and a demonstration on how to act if found in a fire situation
