Govt’s family shelter receives donation

A donation of school supplies (pictured) was recently made to the Children and Family Services Division (CFD) Department of Human and Social Services (DHSS), for children who are housed with their families at the government shelter that is operated and managed by the DHSS.

The donation came from Consolidators International Incorporated (CII), which has continued to support such DHSS programs, as well as the Hope House American Samoa at Fatu o Aiga, a home for the elderly and physically challenged which is administered by the Diocese of Samoa Pago Pago, and the Dominican Sisters of the Trinity.

“On behalf of our Director Taeaoafua Dr. Meki Solomona, we would like to extend our grateful appreciation to CII for the wonderful donation for our shelters. We cannot thank you enough for the never ending support,” said Acting Director for CFD/DHSS Celestine Faumuina-Nix who was joined by Elena Mareko and Moira Lesa.

In December of last year, CII also made a donation of Christmas gifts and goodies through its owner Julian Keeling, and his wife Amy. CII opened a branch in American Samoa in 2012.
