Medicaid Myvision Eye Center opens

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The Medicaid Office staffers came together with Dr. Petaia-Steffany on training day to prepare the MyVision Eye Clinic to start seeing youth 21years and under — the first Medicaid beneficiaries on island to access the vision screening, eyeglasses and contact lense benefits 100% covered by Medicaid.
American Samoa Medicaid State Agency, director Sandra King Young, announced earlier this month the local Medicaid office was opening up enrollment on Sept. 6 for vision benefit services with their new local provider MyVision Eye Center.
