Port Administration to host town hall meetings for airport and seaport vision 2030 framework
Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The Port Administration of American Samoa (PAAS) is inviting all community members, stakeholders, and residents to attend two upcoming town hall meetings this week, where the Vision 2030 Framework for the Territory's airport and seaport modernization projects will be presented and discussed.
These meetings are a critical part of the PAAS's ongoing effort to gather public feedback and ensure that the Vision 2030 initiative aligns with the needs and expectations of the local community.
The town halls will be held on:

Wednesday, April 29, 2026

Director Barney Sene will lead the sessions, offering an in-depth look at Vision 2030 — a comprehensive, phased plan focused on improving the infrastructure of American Samoa’s airport and seaport. Key areas of the Vision 2030 Framework include the modernization of passenger facilities, expanded transportation capacity, enhanced safety and security systems, and improved inter-island connectivity.
“These town halls are an invaluable opportunity for the public to engage directly with PAAS, ask questions, and provide input on how we can better serve the community with this long-term infrastructure program,” said Director Sene. “We are committed to transparent planning and want to ensure that Vision 2030 reflects the needs of American Samoa’s residents and businesses.”
Community members are encouraged to review the Vision 2030 documents ahead of the meetings by visiting the official project website at paas2030vision.com. Separate documents are available for both airport and seaport components, providing detailed insights into proposed projects, timelines, and key objectives for the future of American Samoa’s transportation infrastructure.
PAAS encourages active participation from all segments of the community, as feedback gathered during these sessions will play a vital role in shaping the successful implementation of Vision 2030.
