Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA —  LBJ Tropical Medical Center (LBJTMC) has announced its partnership with the Department of Education's Career and Technical Education (CTE) Division to launch the Work-Based Learning Experience Program (WBLEP).

The Work-Based Learning Experience Program is designed to empower high school seniors by offering them the opportunity to engage in hands-on job activities.

Through this initiative, students will gain insights into various professions, develop essential skills, and explore potential career paths. These students worked at LBJTMC for a duration of 10 weeks, which began on February 12 and continued on to April 12, 2024.

During their tenure at LBJTMC, students were exposed to various divisions, including BioMed, Civil Engineering, Facilities Maintenance, Cabinetry, A/C, and Trouble Calls.
