Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The last day for American Samoa's campaign to wipe out Filariasis is Saturday, November 9, 2019. Don't miss the close-out bash at the Fagatogo malae from 8am – 2pm with health-fair booths, raffles and prizes, games and face painting, bouncing houses and lots more fun for the kids.

Department of Health (DOH) is inviting all of American Samoa to bring your families for a day filled with fun and laughter. This will be your last chance to take your Filariasis pills if you have not done so.

As of November 3, 2019, a total of 26,782 eligible individuals have participated. This week, we are targeting 5,700 eligible participants.

To meet our target the following is happening:

1. DOH teams are assigned to different locations such as government agencies, private sector, business and villages from 8am – 4pm.

2. The Department of Health advises the public to please visit the community health centers at Leone, Amouli and Tafuna to drink filariasis pills during normal working hours. DOH Fagaalu campus is also open up to 8pm.

3. Please note that Tafuna Health Center is open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday.

4. Close-out bash at the Fagatogo malae Saturday, from 8am – 2pm.

DOH thanks you for supporting our efforts to eradicate Filariasis in American Samoa. PLEASE CALL 633-5871 OR 633-5872 for any special request or if you have questions and concerns. Together, we can finally be free of Lymphatic Filariasis territory-wide.
