American Samoa Visitors Bureau officials said the agency had invited Letuli - a local entertainer, teacher and knife dancer/instructor - to join ASVB at the trade show.

“Trade shows provide us with the opportunity to promote our territory and encourages and invites travelers to visit our territory and see the natural beauty of our home and witness a vibrant and living culture that still exists,” said the ASVB.

“ASVB believes that tourism is everybody's business and we all need to participate in building our local visitors industry while strengthening our cultural traditions and activities.”

ASVB  plans to seek avenues to encourage members from the local industry and community to join the trade show teams - in future shows - “to help showcase our beautiful island(s) and promote their businesses.”

The San Diego trade show is one of such events that ASVB, joined by Hawaiian Airlines, have been a part of in the past few years.
