Honolulu, HAWAII — Le Fetuao Samoan Language Center (LFSLC ) was one of the key entertainers and sponsors of the 2019 Inaugural Veterans Summit in Hawaii, held at the Hawaii Convention Center.

Elementary, middle, and high school students participated with their parents and family members in support of the Summit, which was well attended by veterans and military community members throughout the state of Hawaii, U.S. mainland, and U.S. territories.

LFSLC represented the Samoan community by showcasing its heritage language and culture to hundreds of Summit participants. LFSLC youth served as volunteers to assist Summit leaders and coordinators, including Roman Galiki and Shoen Safotu from the Veterans Affairs Office.

More than 600 people came together last weekend to learn more about various veteran services, such as benefits, education and health.

The summit also focused on entrepreneurial and volunteer opportunities for veterans and was a time to commemorate the service of military members and their families.
