Pacific Horizons School receives donation from the Lealaifuaneva Peter E. Reid Charitable Foundation

Pacific Horizons receives Reid Foundation funds

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Pacific Horizons School (PHS) is pleased to announce receiving a generous $20,000 donation from the Lealaifuaneva Peter E. Reid Charitable Foundation in support of the PHS 2nd Annual Giving Campaign. This contribution represents a significant investment in the school’s mission to provide high-quality educational opportunities for students in American Samoa.

The PHS Annual Giving Campaign was launched in 2025 to help secure the school’s long-term future amid changes to federal Consolidated Grant funding. This grant offset approximately 15% of the school’s operating costs. With restrictions now in place, PHS faces a deficit that poses challenges to maintaining its programs.

The Giving Campaign invites community partners to serve as “Anchor Donors,” aligning with the school’s nautical theme, by helping PHS reach its $70,000 goal. This support will directly strengthen the school’s general fund and ensure continued access to high-quality, well-rounded education for future generations.

Pacific Horizons School extends its warmest thanks to the Lealaifuaneva Peter E. Reid Charitable Foundation for its partnership and philanthropy. Their support helps make it possible for PHS to continue building a strong, innovative, and student-centered future.
