Bus drivers for the local Department of Education completed yesterday the final day of a two-day training held at the OMV by the DPS Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP).
The training is aimed at giving the bus drivers a crash course on safety issues including the use of lights and passing.
The course is intended to school the bus drivers on what they need to be aware of, prior to the beginning of the new school year, set to start in August.
In addition to the bus drivers, DOE Director Vaitinasa Dr. Salu Hunkin-Finau and DPS Commissioner William Haleck were both present.
