BROTHERS FIGHT AFTER  ONE CAUGHT TRYING TO KISS STEP MOM

Filipino brothers were arrested over the weekend after one caught the other kissing their stepmother, after which they got into a fight. This was during a drinking session at their residence in Faga’alu.

The incident came to light when the stepmother contacted the police for help. Samoa News is withholding the names of the brothers given this is a family matter.

Upon arriving at the scene, police met with the stepmother, while at the same time there were other bystanders in the area looking into the house.

The woman told police she walked into her bedroom when she saw one of her step sons was already inside the room.  It is alleged that he tried to hug her and also tried to kiss her, and that she had a hard time trying to push the defendant away. The other brother came into the bedroom and saw what was going on, and then he ran and told his father.

The brothers argued and then they fought. The police arrested the brothers, who were both under the influence of alcohol. The 32 year old stepmother is married to their father. The brothers, who are 41 and 27 years of age respectively, made their initial appearance in District Court yesterday morning. Acting Associate Justice Elvis Pila Patea denied bail for both defendants due to their immigration status.

MAN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULTING HIS WIFE, AGAIN

A man who’s been placed on probation in the High Court for assaulting his wife, was arrested again over the weekend.

The woman walked into the Tafuna Substation to file her complaint, saying that she argued with her husband at her place in Fogagogo and that the verbal argument turned physical. The woman said her husband was not happy with what she said and he pulled her hair and slapped her across the face.

According to the government’s case, when the police arrived, the defendant had already left. The woman told the police that her husband had threatened to kill her and then left the house. The woman sustained bruises on her face and she also had minor scratches on her neck.

The woman refused to be treated by the Emergency Medical Services. The defendant was found later, when he returned to the house. The woman then contacted the police, informing them her husband had arrived home. Bail for the husband is set at $1,000.
