TIS’ THE GIVING SEASON…
Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — In the spirit of giving & kindness — tis’ the season — the American Samoa Red Cross Chapter received a $2,138 check raised by employees of StarKist Samoa through its $1 Donation Drive. These funds will support ongoing relief efforts for Hurricanes Helene and Milton in the United States.
In October, StarKist Co. contributed $250,000 in products to Feed the Children to assist with Hurricane Helene relief.
Additionally, through its Matching Gifts Program, the company matched personal donations dollar for dollar to nonprofit organizations aiding communities affected by the hurricane.
The $2,138 check will also be matched by StarKist Co., doubling the total donation to $4,276 from the dedicated cannery employees.
