Territory receives new Maternal and Child Health Services Grant
Washington, D.C. — A federal funding notice of $114,676 from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), has been directed to American Samoa’s maternal and child health services.
“Thank you once again to Dr. Anaise Uso for her dedicated work on this and other grants to provide important care to the women and young children of American Samoa, and ongoing efforts to provide quality early care,” said Congresswoman Aumua Amata. “Congratulations to Health Director Motusa Tuileama Nua, and thank you to all our health professionals for your daily work. Thank you to HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra and HRSA Administrator Carole Johnson for this support.”
This is a new discretionary health services grant to the American Samoa Department of Health (ASDOH) covering a two-year project period.
