Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Irene Lordez-Ann Mamea recently achieved a remarkable milestone, graduating with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of North Florida's Brooks College of Health in Jacksonville.

She is the proud daughter of Faiaoga Mamea Jr. of Masausi, American Samoa, and Raven Mamea of San Diego, California. Irene dedicates this achievement to her loving family—her parents, brothers, aunties, uncles, cousins, and especially her beloved grandparents, Faiaoga Mamea and Fiapaipai Fiaseu Mamea of Masausi, Laulii, Aoa, and Alao, American Samoa, and Otilia Fosi of San Diego, California. Their unwavering support, love, and legacy have been the guiding force behind her success.

Throughout her academic journey, Irene has exemplified resilience, discipline, and a passion for learning—values deeply rooted in her cultural and family heritage. Her determination to serve others and pursue excellence has shaped every step of her path.

As she turns the page to a new chapter, Irene will begin her residency at the VA Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, in August, where she looks forward to continuing her commitment to helping others through compassionate and evidence-based care.
