Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Recognizing the importance of a swift and hassle free transition into the digital world and being environmentally conscientious, Bluesky is proud to announce the launch of American Samoa’s first digital eSIM activation service.

This advanced mobile telecom service allows eSIM-compatible smartphone owners, such as those with the latest Apple iPhone devices, to sign up for Bluesky’s prepaid or superior capped Mobile plans by visiting their local retail store at the Laufou Shopping Center or kiosk by the Fagatogo Marketplace to download and activate the eSIM profile. Current or prospective mobile subscribers can also digitally sign up through the Bluesky eCommerce website at www.bluesky.as.

What is an eSIM? An eSIM is exactly what it sounds like: An electronic, or embedded, SIM. Instead of a physical card, SIM technology is built right into your phone. It eliminates the need for a physical SIM card and instead allows you to activate your compatible device on your Bluesky network by downloading an eSIM profile. Benefits include having 2 or more phone numbers on a single device as well as reducing our plastic footprint and being more environmentally friendly.

“As the leading and innovative telecommunication company in American Samoa, the first to launch 4G services in the territory, Bluesky is proud to be the first carrier yet again to introduce such innovative technology into our marketplace” said Bluesky CEO, Justin Tuiasosopo. He added, “The eSIM launch is in line with Bluesky’s efforts to go digital as well as eco-friendly.”
