Washington, D.C. — Thursday Congresswoman Aumua Amata announced she has reopened American Samoa’s congressional office at Fagatogo Square for weekday hours, and wants people to know constituent services are available.

This decision to have the office open is based on the current local circumstances regarding COVID-19, and subject to potential change depending on the future situation.

“We are blessed and thankful to have no COVID cases on our islands, and happy to be able to work directly with our people to help however we can,” said Aumua Amata. “We will follow appropriate guidelines, and reevaluate office hours if necessary at any point going forward according to the best available health information.”

Office hours are 7:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. during usual workweek days, Monday-Friday. The phone number is 684-633-3601.

For anyone not currently in American Samoa, the Congresswoman’s office in Washington is following the guidance of the House Administration Committee. DC congressional office buildings are not open to visitors at this time.
