Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The Tagata Tutu Faatasi Alliance of American Samoa (TTFAAS) flyer released on its Facebook page last week, announcing a planned “TTFAAS WAVE” on Feb. 19th at Utulei  Beach, thanking government leaders — that the repatriation flights from the US have commenced — and “to advocate for our families waiting to be repatriated.”

Samoa News continues to support TTFAAS and their efforts for the repatriation of our Territory’s residents. It is a dangerous and costly endeavor that can only happen if we all come together and help each other.

As Lt. Gov. Talauega Eleasalo Ale said in his recent press release, of the tests coming back all negative — “we’re not out of the woods yet,” and the territory as a whole needs to continue educating ourselves on COVID-19.” He encouraged vaccinating.

“LOTONUU is alive and well here in American Samoa. Especially during this Long Journey Home for our repatriated travelers,” Talauega said.
