Travelers on last Thursday's flight all test negative upon arrival
Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — All travelers on Thursday’s Hawaiian Airlines flight tested negative for COVID-19 and according to Director of Health Motusa Tuileama Nua all passengers were cleared to go home after their negative tests. However, they are required to self quarantine and log on to TalofaPass every day for five days and the Department of Health will be monitoring their health information.
Traveling on the flight from Honolulu were a 21-member team from FEMA who will be working with DoH and LBJ Hospital and 13 medical personnel from the NuWest Group retained by LBJ Hospital to help with the treatment and care of COVID patients. Fourteen other NuWest medics arrived last Saturday.
The FEMA group is staying at Tradewinds Hotel while the NuWest personnel are staying at Sadies by the Sea.
