Core of Strong Winds Targets Manu’a & threatens Tutuila

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The extended period of strong winds and battering high surf continues to affect the American Samoan Island chain early this week. Damaging winds of 50 to 55 mph still threaten this area through Tuesday night.

High surf continues along American Samoa's north shore generating beach erosion and coastal flooding, especially around Fagasa.
