Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Nu’uuli Vocational Technical High School Class of 2020 graduate, Malachi C. G Tipoti (middle) honored his late father, fire bureau Capt. Mike Tipoti, one of the two fire fighters who died April 30th during an accident on the road from Afono to Aua, with a poster he carried at his graduation ceremony

He was accompanied by two firefighters — who along with other firefighters — attended Malachi’s graduation ceremony.

As Malachi walked towards the podium to receive his diploma, he was in tears, holding the poster of his father’s photo, while fire trucks parked nearby the school campus blared horns in support of Malachi and to remember Capt. Tipoti.
