Amata thanks supporters for re-electing her

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Newly elected US Congresswoman Uifa’atali Aumua Amata Coleman Radewagen held a Thank You Event for her poll watchers, village chairs as well as people who were a part of her campaign at the Matai Restaurant located in the Fagatogo Square building, the old Tedi's of Samoa, last Friday noon.

At the event, Amata gave a heartfelt thank you and made sure her people received t-shirts, visors, and lunch, as well as a a one-on-one thank you from her.

For those unable to make it, Amata said she will visit them out in their villages to deliver her ‘faafetai tele lava’ .

Amata is very proud of her grassroots base which has continued to support her. She was the first woman to win the seat representing American Samoa’s At-Large Congressional District, and has not lost re-election since her election to the U.S. House in 2014. With her re-election on Nov. 5, 2024, she will be serving her 6th term.
