The 3 steps to getting COVID vaccine in American Samoa
Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — This tall banner at the Health Department’s Tafuna Family Health Center tells those who show up to get their COVID-19 vaccine of steps they need to follow — and the first step is registration.
According to DoH, vaccinations for the New Year 2021, started on Tuesday this week through Friday from 2p.m. to 6p.m. for the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. First responders, healthcare workers and other critical workers continue to get their vaccinations at this DoH health center.
LBJ Medical Center’s healthcare workers, first responders and other critical workers are getting their covid vaccination at the hospital.
DoH received the first shipment of 400 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine on Dec. 26th.
The total vaccine administered in American Samoa as of Jan. 6th is 1,159 doses, according to a DoH posting on its Facebook page.
