Olafou Laolagi and his wife, Onolina along with their children — the couple and two of their four children are finally going home to American Samoa. A year ago, the couple flew from Pago Pago to Utah so that she could give birth to their fourth child. They left two of their children in Am Samoa with Laolagi‘a parents. Then the pandemic hit, and they were stuck. “We were devastated when we heard that,” Laolagi said. They are part of the first group of residents scheduled to fly back to the territory since the pandemic hit. [photo: Civil Beat)
