Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Faleomavaega Nick and Mona King of Poloa Village are the parents of Warren Christopher Lafoa'i King, Jocelyn Moana King and Whitney Alofa Hasan, all three siblings are serving the country in the USCG, as is a first cousin, Bernard Micah Williams (the individual picture).

Congresswoman Aumua Amata highlighted the birthday of the United States Coast Guard, saying “American Samoa’s proud tradition of service in the Armed Forces extends to every branch of our military. Thank you to the U. S. Coast Guard, and happy birthday!

“The Coast Guard’s motto translates to ‘Always Ready.’ They protect U.S. shores and waters, and go to the rescue of those in distress, often serving heroically in storms.

“We’re happy to send our thoughts, prayers, and best wishes to some of our own serving in the Coast Guard, and congratulate this military family,” she said.
