LBJ launches newsletter to ensure the public has accurate information
Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — LBJ’s new newsletter titled, O Le Taulasea, launched on Friday, November 18, 2022 with the hospital’s CEO Moefa'auo William Emmsley saying, "It is time for us to tell our story”
It was a soft launch to promote the newsletter that Acting CMO, Dr. Akapusi Ledua, said is to have the public "see the other side of LBJ's story that will help put to rest rumors and other information out there. It is also to celebrate the accomplishments of our staff, patients and all services within the hospital."
Moefa'auo added, "It is time for us to tell our story, this is a way for us to tell the public what we are doing, what we've been doing and especially let them know what is often unseen and unheard in LBJ."
The newsletter had originally been envisioned as a quarterly issue but because of the abundance of information from Finance, Nursing, Medical, Ancillary and Facilities & Works departments, the CEO and his team of writers have agreed to make it a monthly edition.
Moefa'auo had departments and divisions nominate staff from their respective areas to write their stories for the newsletter, and is excited to have this venture come to fruition. Physical copies of "O Le Taulasea" can be found in areas within the hospital accessible by the public such as the Emergency Room, clinics and offices. It is also on the hospital's website, www.lbjtmc.org, and has been shared via e-mail to other ASG departments and agencies.
