Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — There is a report from LBJ that repairs for the CT scan have been completed and the CT scan is now back in service since this past Sunday. This was according to Rep. Andra Theresa Samoa, the chair of the House Health committee.

Samoa confirmed during the House Session this past week that the repair work for the CT scan was completed last week and the machine was used last Sunday morning.

Last month, LBJ CEO, Faumuina John Faumuina told the House Health committee that parts to repair the machine arrived but another problem with film for the machine occurred.

LBJ purchased a whole new assembly system to take care of the problem and the parts arrived at the end of last month. The CT scan allows doctors to image inside a person’s body and is used a diagnostic tool.
