Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Pacific Independent Distributors, Inc in collaboration with the Huggies brand have announced they will be donating a year’s supply of Huggies Nappies and Baby Wipes to help make life better for American Samoa’s Sokimi family who recently gave birth to quadruplet girls.

The birth of quadruplets on the small island of American Samoa is an exceptionally rare occasion in a population spanning under 56,000 people. However, on January 7, 2020 the Sokimi family welcomed their four healthy girls into the world at LBJ Tropical Medical Centre.

Recognizing that a family of quadruplets will go through roughly 960 Baby Wipes and almost 200 Nappies in just a week, PID Inc and Huggies Nappies saw an opportunity to help out the Sokimi family who are already parents to several other children; now a family of seven daughters and four sons.

“We congratulate the Sokimi family on the arrival of their beautiful babies and we are honored to help relieve some of the financial and time pressures that comes with shopping for supplies for newborn babies, especially when there are four,” said Christa Nancy Satele, PID Inc. Business Manager

“We hope that our donation allows the family to spend more of their precious time with their new family members,” Ms. Satele said.

“We are so thankful for the donation as this will help our family tremendously,” stated Mr. Sokimi.
