Cruise ships are back! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, American Samoa has not had any cruise ship visits for the last 3 years. On Saturday, Jan. 20 that all changed when the American Samoa Visitors Bureau, government and private sector partners joined together to welcome the “Celebrity Eclipse”. This cruise ship carried over 3,000 passengers and crew members, and is the first of 21 cruise ships scheduled to visit our island throughout 2023. The next cruise ship arrives on February 4.
