Voyaging canoes on course for world congress

THE Marumaru Atua from the Cook Islands is proud to join its two other Pacific sisters — the Uto ni Yalo and the Gaualofa from Samoa — in the journey to let the world know of climate change and ocean awareness at the IUCN World Park Congress in Sydney next month.Skipper Peia Patai said the message was clear and that was to make a difference and take ownership of the ocean.The two vaka canoes arrived in Suva yesterday.
