Two cruise ships for scheduled to visit territory in April

The American Samoa Visitor’s Bureau has confirmed two cruise ships are scheduled to call into the Port of Pago Pago this month with the first set to arrived Monday (Apr. 8). The Princess Cruise ship ‘Star Princess’ is set to sail into port around 10a.m. from Lahaina, Hawai’i and departs around 7p.m. for neighboring Samoa.

 

Star Princess which carries up to 2600 passengers and 1100 crew, is on a 28-night voyage beginning and ending in Los Angeles, according to the Visitor’s Bureau e-Newsletter.

 

The next cruise ship, which is a Holland America Line ‘Oosterdam’ is making its maiden voyage to Pago Pago on Sunday, Apr. 21, arriving at 8a.m. from Samoa and departing around 5p.m., for Kauai island, Hawai’i.

 

Carrying up to 1916 passengers and 817 crew, the Oosterdam is on a 22-night cruise from Sydney, Australia to Honolulu, Hawaii.
