Taulauta Rep thanks government leaders for addressing community needs

Tualauta Faipule Larry Sanitoa expressed his sincere appreciation to the government leaders for their contribution and participation in the Special Olympic Fundraising Golf Tournament last Saturday as well as addressing aging infrastructure.

Sanitoa said in his letter to Governor Lolo M. Moliga that the governor’s unwavering commitment to support the many special community needs in our territory is commendable. He also thanked Lt. Governor Lemanu Peleti Mauga and his wife Pahakalani who stopped by during the event and also offered their support and contribution.

“In addition, I thank you for sharing with me your long term vision and determination to address our aging infrastructure. As I mentioned often, our residents and motorists are grateful for your leadership in making our roads and drainage improvements a hallmark of your administration, aside from education, health care and economic development.

The faipule further thanked the governor for finally moving forward to permanently pave the Golf Course Road, pointing out this work will commence soon and is another important improvement that will benefit tourism development.

He also said that he was delighted to know that some 1,500 plus ASG management and staff who were placed on leave without pay —since their positions were funded by federal grants,—are now being asked to return to work.
