TAFUNA HIGH SCHOOL HONORS AND REMEMBERS ONE OF ITS OWN

Tafuna High School took time out Friday from their normal routine, to pay final respects to one of their own, a 15 year old fellow student, a sophmore, Dominic Andrew Tautunuafatasi, who passed away.

According to the memorial program, Dominic passed away at the LBJ Hospital from complications caused by dengue, leptospirosis and pneumonia. Yesterday morning, the Tafuna High School gymnasium was filled with high school students, staff, administration, friends and family members, as they bid farewell to Dominic.

Dominic was a key player that brought the Junior Varsity Volleyball Championship to Tafuna High School two years running.

He was also on the school’s Junior Varsity soccer team that also brought the championship trophy to the Warrior Nation. Another accolade that he achieved was that he was the youngest player chosen for the American Samoa National Volleyball Team that competed in the last South Pacific Games  in New Caledonia.

It was well known that green was his favorite color, because his elementary school of Lupelele was green and white.

Samoa News sends out its condolences to the Tautunuafatasi family.
