Led by Sensory Scientist Mrs. Terriann Reilly and a couple of retired FDA experts in that area, training focused on all forms of tuna — raw, precooked, canned and pouch. It was an intensive three and half day course concentrating on every area to ensure fish quality and safety.

At the end of the course every participant who successfully completed the requirements was issued a Certificate of Completion. This is one of StarKist Samoa's on-going annual training programs to ensure food safety in its products, according to the news release.
