Guam romps over American Samoa

Guam continued its success in the 12U Oceania Baseball Championship, defeating American Samoa 16-1 Friday afternoon at Guerrero Field.

Guam went up 7-0 in the first inning on RBI from Jace Gumataotao, Franklin Ninete and DJ Alcantra. The other four runs came on errors or wild pitches from American Samoa.

American Samoa got their only run of the day in the top of the second on an error. Other than that, they were completely shut down by Guam pitchers Kai Noa Blas and Rick Leon Guerrero, who together allowed only one hit.
