Samoa Parliament sits at night

House standing orders have been set aside to allow a motion from Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi to start night sittings of Parliament.This is to ensure that the tabled supplementary budget is passed before the end of the week. Parliament hours changed yesterday to allow for a 7pm sitting, last night.Government started responding to members questions yesterday morning starting with Minister of Works and Infrastructure, Manu’alesagalala Enokati Posala.He was followed by the Minister of Education, Magele Mauiliu Magele, Environment Minister Fa’amoetauloa Taito Dr Fa’ale Tumaali’I and Health Minister Tuitama Dr Talalelei Tuitama before a recess at 1pm.
