Samoa Netball; Bring it on

The Samoa National Netball team is ready for Scotland.Despite the short time they have had to prepare, Coach Marcia Hardcastle is confident that her team has the measure of the Scotland Thistles ahead of the test matchs at Apia.During a press conference yesterday,Hardcastle said her team is ready for the challenge.“This is the first time we have gotten together since Fiji and although it is short, I believe we have come together as team and we are looking forward to the first test,” she said.Samoa is ranked 12th in the world while Scotland is 15th.Hardcastle is looking to improve Samoa’s ranking.“It will be tough game,” she said.“Whilst we are ahead in the ranking, everything depends on the day and our goal is to win and maintain our rank.If we can improve, that is a bonus”The two teams have never met before and both are expecting a very physical and competitive game.Scotland coach Denise Holland said her team will give it their all.“We are hoping to improve our ranking as is the purpose we are on tour,” she said.“This is our first time going up against Samoa and we are looking forward to the challenge.”Samoa’s vice captainShirin Chang said her team is raring to go.
